Musa and Bastian Double on the Bubble

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There were three all-in and call at different tables at the same time. One was on the feature table and ended in a split pot.

Over in the main room, Benjamin Bastian jammed from under the fun for 111,000 with the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and was called by Adrian Cioca in the small blind with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

On a board of {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}, the aces held with the nut flush for Bastian to stay in contention.

The second all-in featured a battle of the blinds in which Nicolas Martinez shipped it in from the small blind and Fred Musa called all-in for 85,000 in the big blind.

Fred Musa: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Nicolas Martinez. {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Musa had the best of it on the {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and retained the lead throughout the {10-Spades} turn and {2-Clubs} river.

Two Doubles on the Bubble

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Soraya Estrada raised to 20,000 in the cutoff and then called the push by Hugo De La Fouchardiere on the button for 81,000.

Hugo De La Fouchardiere: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Soraya Estrada: {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} board was no threat for the short stack with the nut flush.

Jeremy Combes then jammed the heads-up turn of {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} for the last 132,000 in the big blind and was called by Mathieu Courty.

Jeremy Combes: {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Mathieu Courty: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {j-Hearts} on the river was a blank and Combes doubled as well.

Popa Jams Into Del Pino

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

As the hand-for-hand mode continues, no further all-in showdown unfolded just yet but there was a lengthy battle between Omar Del Pino and Tudor Popa. The former bet the {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} river for 230,000 and Popa then pushed all-in for 450,000 total.

Del Pino had that covered but tank-folded after several minutes.

Earlier Eliminations

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The second hand close to the bubble brought no all-in and call, which gives some time to take a glance at those who recently vanished. There are still 314 players in contention spread across two rooms.

Uzan Tank-Calls to Nearly Double

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There was one all-in and call in which a player busted while one more table was running and that turned into a battle of nearly ten minutes.

Ludovic Uzan had raised from under the gun and Sebastien Guidez came along in the big blind. With some 120,000 in the middle to the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} river, Guidez bet 41,000 and Uzan went deep into the tank. After seven minutes he eventually called for most of his remaining short stack and Guidez mucked.

Uzan celebrated vividly and exposed his {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for the top pair, which he didn't need to as Guidez had forfeited the pot already and it wasn't an all-in showdown.

Action continues with 314 players remaining.

Daugis Eliminated Before the Money

Level 22 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

There was one all-in and call in the main tournament room in a battle of the blinds as Alejandro Hernandez Lopez had pushed for 183,000 in the small blind. Arturs Daugis called all-in for 141,000 in the big blind and they had to wait for all other hands to finish.

Arturs Daugis: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Alejandro Hernandez Lopez: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The dominating ace fell behind on the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop and Daugis found no escape on the {k-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river.
