Remaud Loses the Absolute Minimum
Level 10
: Blinds 700/1,400, 1,400 ante
A big pot of 75,000 had developed on a completed board of Q♥J♠5♥Q♦10♠, in a hand between Jean-Charles Remaud on the button and Essersi Salah in the small blind.
Salah had put out a bet of 20,000, and Remaud was mulling things over. He spent around two minutes peering at the board and his opponent, then said "I can't pass" and called with 5♣5♠ for the full house.
Salah tabled Q♣J♦ for the higher full house, and complimented Remaud effuzely on not going broke.
