After an early open and a three-bet to 29,000, Gil George shoved all in from the big blind. The three-bettor asked for a count and was quoted 133,000. He thought a couple of minutes and then said he was folding, tossing into the middle. George mucked and dragged the pot.
Hoan Nguyen checked from the small blind on a flop and Mike Wang bet 7,500 in middle position. Nguyen called. On the turn, they each put in 11,100, though we didn't see who bet and who called. On the river, Nguyen fired 22,500 and Wang called after some thought.
Adam Mirliss was walking away from his table as his chips were being pushed to Matthew Bray. According to Mirliss, he ran into the of Bray, who now has nearly 270,000.
With a little over 20,000 in the middle preflop, Will Pengelly was heads-up with the chipleader at the table. The flop came and the action checked to Pengelly who bet 18,000 on the button. His opponent called and the paired the board on the turn.
His opponent checked again and Pengelly counted out his chips before firing another 25,000. His opponent quickly called again and the hit the river. His opponent announced all in and Pengelly snap-called, turning over for a full house. His opponent held for a missed straight draw and sent another 43,800 chips over to Pengelly.
Joon Cho opened to 5,200 from middle position and the player on his left shipped all in for 26,200. There was another all in for 24,200 on the button and the small blind flat-called. Cho looked back at his cards and also made the call, setting up a couple of side pots.
The flop came and both remaining players checked to the on the turn. The small blind checked again and Cho checked back. The on the river put four spades on the board and the small blind checked one more time. Cho looked at his cards again and quickly tabled for an ace-high flush.
Luckily for him, he avoided a penalty as there was a potential straight-flush on the board. However, Cho eliminated both of the all-in players to close in on 400,000 chips.
Ted Gillis bet 9,000 from the hijack on a board of and the big blind called. On the turn, the big blind check-called another 18,000, and the river was the . Again, the big blind checked and this time, Gillis checked back without much though.
The big blind opened for a missed flush draw and Gillis showed for better ace-high.
We didn't see when the money went in, but Alex Greenblatt got his stack in from under the gun with on a board of , with the majority of it looking to have gone in on the flop. An opponent with did not catch up, and Greenblatt collected that player's full stack of about 45,000 along with the 25,000 or so in the pot.
There was a raise to 6,500 from the cutoff and Jeff Sowell called from the small blind along with Phil Osborne in the big blind. The flop came and Sowell checked to Osborne who led out for 15,000. The preflop raiser folded but Sowell made the call.
The turn was the and Sowell check-called another bet of 35,000 from Osborne. The river brought the and Sowell checked one more time. Osborne checked behind and turned over . Sowell looked back at his cards and then threw them to the muck, sending a hefty pot to Osborne.
