Howard Open Folds Top Pair

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The pot stood at around 5,000 with two players looking at a board of JQA9.

Sally Howard, in the big blind, bet out 2,000. Renee Xie, who was under the gun, put in a raise to 5,200.

Howard, pained by her decision, tossed her A into the muck, showing she'd folded at least top pair.

Zemel Isn't Happy with Her Fold

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The pot stood at around 6,000 with two players looking at a flop of 3J9.

Camilla Buswell, who was under the gun, bet out 3,000. Summer Zemel, in middle position, made the call.

The 10 saw Buswelkl bet again, this time for 5,000. Zemel went into the tank for several minutes before tossing her cards into the muck. Zemel seemed disappointed to be shown A7 for an unmade hand, implying she was ahead on the turn.

Webley Had Already Folded the Winner

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Vanessa Webley
Vanessa Webley

Vanessa Webley raised to 1,200 from the cutoff, Grace Walsh called in the hijack, as did Natalie Wood-Stoddard, in the small blind.

The action checked to Walsh, who took the lead for 1,000 on the 93Q flop. Wood-Stoddard called and Webley folded.

The 7 turn and the 7 river checked to a showdown. Walsh tabled J10 for a missed straight draw. Wood-Stoddard claimed this pot with K10 for a superior king-high. Webley seemed surprised as she admitted she would have had the best hand at showdown.
