Tremblay Off to a Rough Start

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Isabelle Tremblay
Isabelle Tremblay

With about 5,000 in the pot, on a board reading {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Isabelle Tremblay led out for 3,500 from the small blind. Martin Roussel was on the button and quickly called.

The river was the {j-Spades} and Tremblay tossed out a single chip worth T5,000. Roussel immediately raised to 12,500 and Tremblay open-folded {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Roussel kindly showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for the nut flush and raked in the pot.

"Two hands already. Welcome to the table!" joked a visibly frustrated Tremblay. Another player at the table said, "Wow! First a gut-shot, then ace-king beats aces. It's been a rough first round!" he laughed.

Big Buy-in, Big Bounty!

Event #10: $1,100 No Limit Hold'em 50/50 Bounty is slated to kick off at 11:00 a.m. local time.

Of the $1,100 entry free, $500 will go to the prize pool, $500 goes to your bounty and the remaining $100 is the entry fee. Players begin with 25,000 chips and will play as many 30-minute levels as it takes before a winner is crowned!

As always, there are 15-minute breaks every four levels, or every two hours, and registration will close the end of Level 6 at approximately 2:15 p.m.

This event is always a fun one, as there is just that much more at stake when you eliminate a player, and much more thought going into your decision to go all-in in any situation!

Keep hanging out with the PokerNews team as we bring you coverage throughout this exciting series.
