"Nobody Believes me?"

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Armand King
Armand King

Armand King opened to 9,000 from early position and got calls from three players. "Nobody believes me?, asked King as the dealer fanned out a {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop.

The player in the big blind checked and King announced a bet of 80,000 quickly getting all three of his opponents to fold.

"They believe me now," stated King as the dealer pushed him the pot.

Cemm Loses the Lyons-Share

Level 11 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Thomas Cemm moved all-in preflop for about 100,000 and was put at risk by Jeremy Lyons.

Cemm: {k-}{q-}
Lyons: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Cemm was dominated but reversed the fortunes when the flop came {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} out-flopping Lyons. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} which gave Lyons a flush draw and it was completed when the {6-Diamonds} landed on the river.

With play now in Level 12, late-registration expires at the end of the level. The total field size currently sits at 853 entries meaning an overlay of more than $140,000 is on the table.

There have been 122 entries already on Day 2 and a single re-entry is also permitted if any player wishes to reload before registration closes.

Charette Doubles by Accident

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

According to the table, Duff Charette open-shoved for 62,000 from middle position and action was on the player in the small blind. She stood up and asked how much more it was, and the dealer supposedly confirmed it was 58,000 more. Charette also said he was all-in and it was 58,000 more to go. The small blind said she called.

Charette had {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} while the small blind revealed {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Charette paired his ten for the double-up. When the dealer was paying the bet from the small blind's stack, she claimed she thought it was 6,200 and not 62,000. The floor was called over and they decided she would be forced to pay the bet.
