Lindeblad Assesses the Bottom of Colman's Range

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

From middle position, Stephen Lindeblad raised to 2,200. Julius Colman called on the button, and everyone else folded before the dealer fanned out the {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop. Lindeblad checked, and Colman checked.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and Lindeblad led with a bet of 2,700. Colman called, and the {9-Hearts} landed on the river. Lindeblad and Colman both checked.

Lindeblad revealed the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, but that was no good against Colman's slow-played {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and he won the pot.

"If I shove, you call," said Colman in a somewhat regretting tone as if to convey that he missed out on an opportunity to double up.

"What?!?!" blurted out Lindeblad. "No way! What am I beating? A pair of sevens? At worst you've got ace-king and I'm flipping. The bottom of your range is ace-king."
