Guzzardi Out of Position Against Gill

Level 2

Pot-Limit Omaha

From the button, Oliver Gill raised to 75. Michael Guzzardi reraised from the small blind to 275.

"Why are you so desperate to play a pot out of position against me?" asked Gill. "You must have like the ace-ace-queen-jack or something."

Gill called, and the two took the flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Guzzardi led for 200, and Gill quickly folded.

Enter Negreanu

Level 2

Daniel Negreanu was recently eliminated from the AU$5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event short of the money, but he's just taken his seat here in the AU$1,650 8-Game Dealer's Choice tournament. Interestingly, Negreanu joined the table that included Jeff Lisandro. Between the two of them, and thanks to Lisandro's win yesterday in the AU$1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha event, there are 12 World Series of Poker gold bracelets accounted for.

Gill Is Gone

Level 3

Oliver Gill has been eliminated. While we didn't see the final details of how the money went in, Gill's final hand saw him lose a pot-limit Omaha confrontation when he couldn't overcome an opponent's aces.

"This is the event I was most looking forward to, and I just come down and bust in two PLO hands." said Gill as the dealer mucked his hand. "It's all Michael Guzzardi's fault!"

What Games Are the Pros Picking?

Level 3

With eight games in the rotation and plenty of big names in the field, it's interesting to see which games the notable faces are picking when it's their turn. So far, we've seen late-registrant Daniel Negreanu pick Omaha hi-lo. Negreanu stated that he was planning to pick 2-7 triple draw, but switched up his choice after the player in front of him picked 2-7 triple draw.

On another table, Mike Leah recently selected Omaha hi-lo, just as Negreanu did.
