Watson Cannot get Tan to Fold

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Darian Tan was the initial raiser and Mike Watson defended his small blind. Until the {8-Spades} {6-Spades} {4-Spades} {3-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} river, there were about 25,000 chips in the middle and Watson moved all in.

Tan checked his stack several times and eventually called all in for 23,100. Watson flipped over {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs} and Tan checked twice before letting out a huge sigh of relief. His {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} was good enough to win the pot and avoid elimination just shy of the money.
