No Glory for Glazier

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

There were a whole lot of ladies involved in the hand with Jackie Glazier and Jess Liang. Liang had pocket queens and the bracelet winner from Australia showed {A-} {K-}. Unfortunately, the local hero could not connect with the board and has been sent to the rail.

Strangward Says "Hasta La Vista, Baby" to Hellmuth

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante
Phill Hellmuth
Phill Hellmuth

The most decorated player in World Series of Poker history lasted less than 25 minutes here in the WSOP APAC Event #3 $1,650 No-Limit Hold'em Terminator.

Hellmuth, who was holding the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flatted a preflop raise from Jackson Strangward and then flatted a bet on the {8-}{k-}{q-} flop. The two ended up getting it all in on the {9-} turn, and Hellmuth discovered the bad news as Strangward had turned a straight with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The inconsequential river was put out to make Hellmuth's elimination official, and then Strangward was tossed the $500 bounty.

The Ladies Love Shack-Harris

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

A player in middle position raised to 200 and Brandon Shack-Harris, who currently sits second on the WSOP Player of the Year leaderboard, flatted from the hijack. The player in the big blind then three-bet to 700, the original raiser folded, and Shack-Harris woke up with a four-bet to 1,900. The big blind jammed and Shack-Harris snap-called off for 6,500 total.

Shack-Harris: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Big Blind: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

It was a classic flip, but Shack-Harris improved to a set on the {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop. That said, his opponent did flop a gutshot straight draw, and the {4-Diamonds} turn gave him an added flush draw. Fortunately for Shack-Harris, the {3-Clubs} blanked on the river and he doubled big.

Thomas Knocks Out Barer

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Ami Barer, the reigning Aussie Millions champ, was laughing when exiting the tournament area even though he was just eliminated by a bad beat. His {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} fell to the {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds} of Russell Thomas, who spiked the {7-Hearts} on the board. Despite that entire table being filled with established pros, all seem to be having fun.

Hellmuth Jumps Into Event #4

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

At the start of Level 3, 13-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth jumped into the action. He's seated over at Table 32, which currently houses Mike Leah, Dylan Wilkerson, Bruno Kawauti and Nicolau Villa-Lobos.

Hellmuth got off to a quick start by winning a couple hands, but then he got mixed up in one that cost him some chips. We picked up the action with 1,600 or so in the pot and a flop of {9-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. An under-the-gun player bet 550, Hellmuth called, and the dealer burned and turned the {10-Hearts}.

Hellmuth called another bet of 550 and then watched his opponent shove all in on the {6-Hearts} river. Hellmuth, who had 3,425 behind, thought for about a minute before releasing his hand.

"I know you didn't have an eight," the under-the-gun player said as he raked in the pot.

Danzer and Riess Up

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Despite having to fold {A-} {K-} on a {8-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {6-Spades} {4-Hearts} river to a bet of 1,750, George Danzer is still up and already claimed one bounty. One table over, Ryan Riess just claimed a bounty after seeing a three-way flop of {8-} {7-} {6-}. Riess bet with pocket sevens, the player one seat over called and a shorter stack moved all in with pocket fours.

Riess called with the set and the player from one seat over folded aces. Both the turn as well as the river bricked and Riess is up to almost three times the starting stack.
