Demlakian Takes from the Reigning Aussie Millions Champ

Ken Demlakian opened for 750 from early position and was met by a three-bet to 2,725 from Ami Barer in the cutoff. Action folded back to Demlakian, he called, and the flop came down 
. Demlakian check-called a bet of 1,975 and then led out for 3,500 when the 
appeared on the turn.
Barer, who won the Aussie Millions Main Event back in February, called the bet and then watched Demlakian fire out 11,000 on the 
river. Barer tanked for a couple of minutes before tossing in a call, and he mucked just as soon as Demlakian rolled over the 
for two pair.
Meanwhile, former Octo-Niner Russell Thomas has taken a seat in the tournament.
