Negreanu Sets Up on Gross

Level 9
Jeff Gross
Jeff Gross

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu opened to 500 from under the gun and Jeff Gross three-bet to 1,300 in the cutoff. Negreanu called and then checked the {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts} flop to Gross who continued for 1,200.

Negreanu bumped it up to 3,000 and Gross called as the {Q-Hearts} landed on the turn and Negreanu bet out 5,000. Gross moved all in for 8,400 and Negreanu snap-called.

Gross: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Negreanu: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

Needing to spike a spade to stay alive, the river landed the {3-Clubs} to unfortunately send Gross to the rail while Negreanu climbed to over 31,000 in chips.
