Round-for-Round Begins

Level 17

With Table 31 now catching up, Table 29 is back in action.

The tournament director has also made the decision to play round-for-round until we reach the final table.

Portaro Trips Up

Level 17

No-Limit Hold’em

The action started with Sam Khouiss raising to 3,300 from the cut off and getting called by Brian Rast on the button as well as Bruno Portaro and George Danzer in the blinds.

The flop came down {4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Portaro led out of 6,500. Danzer and Khouiss got out of the way. Rast called.

Both players then checked the {3-Diamonds} on the turn before the dealer produced the {7-Spades} on the river. Portarto reached for his chips and bet out 9,500. Rast then raised it up to 23,500, sending Portaro into the tank for several minutes. He eventually made the call but mucked in disappointment when Rast rolled over his {7-Clubs}{8-Spades} for trip sevens.

Hurry Up, Boys

Level 17

Over the course of the last few hours, Table 29 has been complaining that the other table is playing a lot slower then they have.

Recently a game behind has developed into two games behind and so forth which has caused the players to ask the tournament director to do something about.

Consequently it was decided that Table 29 would pause while Table 31 would play catch up so that the players on Table 31 would be happy with the speed of both games.

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

Scott Clements had the bring-in and Jamie Pickering called before both players checked fourth. On fifth, Clements bet, Pickering raised all in and Clements called as each player's boards ran out as follows.

Clements: {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} / {4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} / {7-Hearts}
Pickering: {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} / {Q-Hearts}

With Clements scooping the pot with his pair of fours, Pickering headed to the rail in 10th place.
