Wan Doubles Through Ashby

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened the action with a raise to 4,000 and Richard Ashby, Nathan Pan as well as Vincent Wan in the big blind made the call. On the {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {K-Hearts} flop, Wan moved all in for his last 10,500 chips and only Ashby tossed in the chips for a call.

Wan: {J-Spades} {J-Hearts} {A-Spades} {10-Clubs}
Ashby: {K-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}

The {8-Clubs} on the turn was a blank and the {Q-Spades} on the river even gave Wan a straight to double up.

A few minutes prior to this, Sam Higgs paid off a full house from Negreanu on the river of a {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} when the Canadian showed pocket aces.

Watson Right Back in It

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Less than 10 minutes ago Mike Watson was on the verge of elimination with just 1,500 in chips. Somehow he's managed to work that up to 43,000!

In the most recent hand, Brian Roberts opened for 5,000 only to have Watson three-bet to 18,000 from the cutoff. Roberts thought for about a minute before making the call, and then checked the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Watson moved all in for his last 6,000, and even though it wasn't that much, Roberts snap-folded his hand.

Bojang Doubles Big; Watson on the Comeback Trail

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

We picked up the action with 100,000 already in the pot and a board reading {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Sam Higgs bet the size of the pot, and Ismael Bojang quickly called off his remaining 49,100.

Higgs: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Bojang: {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Bojang had turned the straight, and he notched the double after the {Q-Clubs} was put out on the river.

Meanwhile, Mike Watson, who was left with just 1,500 in chips after being crippled by Brian Roberts, has strung together a few doubles and now sits with 25,000! Don't call it a comeback yet.

Roberts Doubles to Crippled Watson

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Brian Roberts opened for 7,000 from the cutoff and was met by a three-bet to 23,000 from Mike Watson in the small blind. Roberts responded by four-betting all in for 30,600, and Watson called, leaving himself just 1,500 behind.

Watson: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Roberts: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}

It was the old kings-versus-aces situation, and the better pair held after the board ran out {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Roberts scored the double while Watson was left with less than a big blind.

Set Over Set for Negreanu

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Sam Higgs raised from early position and Daniel Negreanu called on the button to see the flop of {K-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {4-Spades}. Higgs bet 8,000 and Negreanu raised to 18,000, to which Higgs replied with "pot". Negreanu shook his head for a second and then reraised the pot to put himself at risk for his last 59,400 chips. Higgs called.

Negreanu: {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}
Higgs: {4-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {5-Spades} {A-Hearts}

There was no help anymore for Higgs on the {J-Diamonds} turn and the {Q-Hearts} to put quite a dent into his stack.

Bojang Gives It Up

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Richard Ashby limped from the hijack and Ismael Bojang took the opportunity to raise to 8,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Ashby, who limp-raised to 26,000. Bojang thought for a few moments before making the call, and then he watch Ashby moved all in for 54,100 on the {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop.

Bojang thought for about 90 seconds and then released his hand.

Johnston Knocks Out Riess and Merson

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Greg Merson
Greg Merson

A preflop raising war saw several raise the pot and Richard Johnston, Greg Merson as well as Ryan Riess were all in. Riess was the short stack whereas Merson had around 75,000 in chips and Johnston had them both covered with more than 90,000 in chips.

Riess: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {K-Spades}
Merson: {A-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}
Johnston: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}

Johnston was ahead preflop and also picked up an additional flush draw on the {3-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} flop. The {8-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing and the {J-Hearts} river reduced the field to 14.
