Some for Kastle

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Casey Kastle limped from under the gun and one player raised to 700, Shane Warne called one seat over and the player in the small blind squeezed to 2,600. Only Kastle called and called a bet of 2,200 by his opponent on the {7-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} flop. The {3-Clubs} on the turn was checked through and Kastle then bet 3,500 after the {7-Clubs} river when the action was checked to him. The player in the small blind released his cards and the Slovenian raked in the pot.

You Won't Believe This

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

With nearly 20,000 in chips already in the middle, one player and Sam Khouiss were involved in some big action on the paired board of {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. The unknown player was first and bet 10,000. With stack of 22,300, Khouiss raised all in. This sent his opponent into the tank, and tank he did for several minutes.

"It's only 12,300 more," said Khouiss after a bit of time. "But you can fold and still come back."

"I think you've got a boat," said the other player. "I've got a boat, but I've got the lowest one possible."

"A boat?" asked Khouiss in a surprised manner. "I thought you had a flush."

After another minute or two passed, and then Khouiss' opponent laid down the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for all to see. Indeed he did have a full house, deuces full of jacks, and he made the tough lay down. Khouiss showed the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} for a bigger full house, and jaws dropped around the table.

On the next hand, the player who laid down the deuces against Khouiss got involved in another big pot. This time, though, he wouldn't be left with chips to fight on.

On the {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} board, two players checked, and then Vincent Chua bet 700. The first player check-raised to 1,400, and then the player from the previous hand reraised to 3,100. Chua immediately made it 8,500 to go, and the first player got out of the way. The player who folded the full house moved all in for 22,000, and Chua called.

Chua had the {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and the other player had the {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. The turn was the {J-Clubs} to give Chua a winning flush, the river completed the board with the {2-Spades}.

Brummelhuis Calls Down

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

With 1,000 in the pot and a flop of {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, the lady in the big blind bet 600 and Michiel Brummelhuis called from the under-the-gun position. When the {2-Spades} appeared on the turn, the big blind bet 1,025 and Brummelhuis wasted little time in making the call.

The {J-Clubs} river saw a final bet of 1,625 from the big blind, and Brummelhuis quickly called. The big blind tabled the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights, but it was no good as Brummelhuis he;d the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for a pair of aces.

The Once and Future Champ

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

November Niner Bruno Politano opened for 450 and received four calls before 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Jonathan Duhamel popped it to 2,200 from the big blind. Politano called, the limpers folded, and it was heads-up action to the {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop.

Duhamel bet 2,200, Politano called, and the {2-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Duhamel bet again, this time 5,700, and again his Brazilian foe called. When the {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Duhamel shoved all in for 20,000 and Politano hit the tank hard. Several minutes passed before Politano folded, and Duhamel sent his cards to the muck unseen.

Esfandiari Bets Out Rousso

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Vanessa Rousso opened to 500 from under the gun and found three callers; one of which was Antonio Esfandiari in the big blind.

On the {7-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, Esfandiari bet out 1,075 and only Rousso called as the turn landed the {5-Diamonds} and Esfandiari plonked in a bet of 2,175.

Rousso went deep into the tank for several minutes before eventually flicking her cards to the muck to slip to below 25,000 as Esfandiari climbed to 21,800.

Burns Eliminates Young

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Rory Young
Rory Young

The action started with Rory Young raising to 500 from under the gun plus one. Kahle Burns called from the cut off as well as the player on the big blind.

The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and the big blind checked. Young bet out 1,000 which received two calls. The {j-Spades} dropped on the turn and once again the big blind checked. Young slid out another bet before Burns bumped it up to 6,300. The big blind mucked his hand before Young moved all in. Burns snap called with more chips behind.

Burns: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Young: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Unfortunately for Young he had run his two pair into the Burn’s set of sevens. The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and the recent WSOP bracelet winner was sent to the rail.

Zheng Cracks Aces to Double Through Kaverman

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

With 2,700 in the pot and a flop of {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, a player in middle position bet 1,300 and Jackson Zheng responded by raising to 5,300 from the cutoff. Byron Kaverman then three-bet to 9,300 from the button, the middle-position player called, and Zheng shoved all in for 14,325. Kaverman called and the third player got out of the way.

Kaverman: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Zheng: {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Zheng had flopped two pair to pull ahead of Kaverman's aces, and it held as the {J-Clubs} blanked on the turn followed by the {5-Clubs} on the river.
