Italiano Finds a Lucky Double

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ang Italiano opened to 60,000 and Jason Giuliano defended his big blind to see a flop of {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

Giuliano checked and Italiano instantly moved all in for 343,000. Giuliano went deep into the tank before eventually making the call.

Italiano: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}
Giuliano: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

With Giuliano making a big call to put Italiano at risk, he wouldn't be rewarded as the {9-Diamonds} landed on the turn to see Italiano take the lead.

The river landed the {8-Clubs} and Italiano doubled through to 822,000 as Giuliano slipped to 1.92 million.

Wang Doubles Through Salter

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The action started with Henry Wang raising to 35,000 from the cut off. Jack Salter then bumped it up to 83,000 from the small blind as Scott Davies got out of the way in the big blind. Wang called and the two players watched the flop come {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Salter reached for his chips and bet out 88,000. Wang thought for a minute before he slid in a raise worth 200,000. Salter didn’t hesitate as he quickly slid out a stack of 25,000-chips that had Wang covered. The bet was called instantly.

Wang: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Salter: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Wang had out flopped Salter and was in the lead with a set of tens. Salter was unable to catch up as the board ran out the {a-Hearts} and {j-Clubs} to see Wang win the hand and move up to almost a million in chips.

Baden Logan Eliminated in 11th Place (AU$42,194)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Baden Logan - 11th place
Baden Logan - 11th place

Jack Salter opened the cutoff to 33,000 and both Baden Logan and Henry Szmelcer called from the button and big blind.

The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Szmelcer checked to Salter who continued for 59,000. Logan moved all in for 365,000 as Szmelcer quickly folded. Salter paused for a few moments and then made the call.

Salter: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Logan: {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

With Salter in the lead, Logan would need to find an ace, king or nine, but when the turn and river landed the {8-Hearts} and {J-Clubs}, Logan headed to the rail in 11th place for an AU$42,194 payday as Salter climbed to 1.45 million in chips.

Jackie Glazier - 12th place

Jackie Glazier open-jammed her last 161,000 and Jason Giuliano called from the button.

Glazier: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Giuliano: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

With Glazier in the lead but flipping, the {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop gave Giuliano additional outs to a straight and backdoor diamonds.

However it would be the {J-Hearts} on the turn, followed by the {A-Hearts} on the river that would see Giuliano eliminate Glazier in 12th place for an AU$42,194 payday as Giuliano climbs to 2.37 million in chips.

Italiano Takes It Down

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

With the flop showing {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} Jason Giuliano checked from the hijack. Ang Italiano bet out 32,000 from the button and was called by Giuliano.

The {7-Clubs} came on the turn and Giuliano slid out 100,000. Italiano quickly called as the {10-Clubs} completed the board. Giuliano checked before Italiano moved all in for her remaining 235,000 in chips. Several minutes passed as Giuliano asked Italiano a few questions.

“Last card help you out that much Ange? Do you want me to call?”

“It’s up to you,” said Italiano, casually sitting waiting for her opponents decision.

“You were checking your cards before for a club Ange. I put you on ace-king with the ace of clubs,” Giuliano added, before finally mucking his hand.
