Subramaniam Shows Simao a Winner

Joao Simao opened to 5,000 in the hijack, finding a call from Matthew Klapstein in the cutoff. Shreyas Subramaniam three-bet to 24,000 in the big blind, with Simao and Klapstein both calling.

Subramaniam continued for 20,000 on the J♥8♦3♣ flop, and only Simao called to see the Q♠ turn.

That brought a check from Subramaniam, making the call after Simao fired 75,000 into the middle. Subramaniam checked again on the K♥ river, and Simao used a time bank card before checking back.

Subramaniam showed A♣Q♣ for a pair of queens, good enough to claim the pot as Simao mucked.
