Binder Wins Battle of Aces
Level 38
: Blinds 5,000,000/10,000,000, 10,000,000 ante
Bernhard Binder raised to 20,000,000 holding A♦J♥ on the button, and Jean-Noel Thorel defended his big blind with A♥3♦.
Thorel checked the K♦4♠6♥ flop, and made the call after Binder fired 17,000,000 into the middle.
Both players declined to bet on the 4♦ turn, and Thorel checked once more on the 9♦ river.
Binder took a moment before checking down, and both players turned over their ace. Binder's jack kicker played and the pot was sent his way.
