Nuts vs Second Nuts Gives Aido Massive Double Up
Level 13
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Sergio Aido raised to 24,000 from under the gun, and Alexandros Theologis in the big blind made the call.
The flop came J♣5♣6♦, and after Theologis checked, Aido bet out 28,000. Theologis elected to raise to 92,000, and Aido called. Theologis then bet 92,000 again after the A♣ on the turn, which Aido called.
After the K♦ on the river, Theologis moved in for 800,000 effective, which Aido snap-called. Theologis tabled Q♣10♣ for the second nut flush, but Aido held the nut flush with K♣8♣ to take the massive pot, leaving Theologis on fumes in the process.
