Lövgren Beats Trumper

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Sofia Lövgren check called a 1,200 bet from Simon Trumper. She did the same on the {A-Diamonds}-turn, check calling 2,150 this time. She checked for a third time once the {7-Clubs} hit the river. Trumper checked behind, and mucked his ace-four as Lövgren showed {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The Big Check Raise

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Albert Daher
Albert Daher

Albert Daher busted as one of the first players today, but so far the choice to re enter has been a good one. He's leading this tournament at the moment, having already gathered 130,000 in chips. We just saw him win a big hand to get to this many chips.

Daher check called a 2,000 bet on {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, and check called another 5,000 on the {7-Diamonds}-turn. The river was the {A-Hearts} and Daher checked again. His opponent bet out 7,500, and without much hesitation Daher made it 28,500. His opponent thought about it for some time, and eventually mucked.

Daher slammed {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} on the table, and started gathering chips again. He won the next hand as well, and added even more chips to his already impressive stack.

Higgins Folds

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Simon Higgins opened under the gun to 800, and a player two positions down made it 2,150. Action folded around back to Higgins, and he made the call.

Higgins checked on {J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, and his opponent fired 1,700. Higgins check raised to 4,800, and the call followed.

The turn brough the {Q-Diamonds} to the table and Higgins bet out 7,200. After half a minute of tanking, his opponent shoved all in for 18,500. Now Higgins was the one tanking, muttering something like "Do you have ace king?", if we heard correctly.

After not too long, Higgins gave it up, showing the {A-Clubs}. His opponent didn't show anything.

Higgins is still up since the last time we checked, he plays about 83,000.

Watts In...

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Steve Watts was eliminated after suffering a bad beat/cooler for the fourth time today. Watts last endeavor to get chips ended with kings all in versus aces. Well, that didn't end up well, and Watts bought back in. Good thing these re entries on the same day are free of rake.

Dinner Break

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Like yesterday, it's time for the 60-minute dinner break as level 6 has just ended. When the players return, most of them will play two more levels, have a 15-minute dinner break, and then play one more level and bag and tag. Some of them will bust before all of that happens though of course.

Trickett Back In

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Sam Trickett said it was time to party, and with party the man from England apparently means playing poker. He just entered the event, and has 30,000 of chips to work with.
