Back in Season 10, the World Poker Tour first visited the King's Casino in Prague and Andrey Pateychuk of Russia defeated a 571-strong field to engrave his name into the WPT history books and also take home €450,000 in cash. One year later in Season 11 it was Marcin Wydrowski of Poland who emerged victorious for €318,295 after defeating 566 opponents. In 2013, the festival moved to the Card Casino Prague and Julian Thomas of Germany topped a field of 306 for a payday of €206,230.
Fast forward one year, the WPT now returns to the Corinthia Hotel for Season 13 and hosts the 2014 partypoker WPT National Prague with two starting days on December 4th and 5th. One optional re-entry in total is available for the €1,800 + €200 Main Event and this can either be taken on the same day still, the next starting day or even until the end of the first level on Day 2. Late registration as well as re-entry is available during that time frame.
All participants receive 30,000 in chips as starting stack and the levels last 60 minutes each, action for Day 1A will get underway at 13:00 CET. The Main Event concludes on Sunday December 7th 2014 and the PokerNews live reporting team will bring you all crucial hands from the start and until the winner is crowned.

Action is underway after partypoker ambassador Kara Scott just announced the magic words. Depending on the field size, between eight and 10 levels of 60 minutes each will be played. Scott cashed in the €3,300 EPT Prague 2013 in 22nd place, this year she is only here to represent the brand though.

The entire preflop action is unknown, but Alex Goulder and Jonathan Little got involved in a battle of the blinds to create a pot of 3,350 chips to the heads-up flop of . Goulder checked, Little bet 1,850 and the Brit was grabbing for chips before changing his mind and tossing his cards into the muck.

Petr Targa is one of the most well known Czech players whereas Alexander Lakhov finished runner-up to Marcin Wydrowski here in the Corinthia hotel in 2012.
Jean-Philippe Piquette has most his results on Canadian soil and cashed for example the WPT Montreal in the last two years.

Anton Wigg hasn't been playing many poker tournaments lately, but the Swede just sat down on a table with Seth Berger, Jonathan Little and Sergio Aido. The first hand saw him involved in a three-way pot to the flop where Aido checked the small blind. Berger bet 300 from the cutoff and then folded to the 1,000 raise of Wigg on the button.
One hand later, Wigg raised to 300 from the cutoff and Aido three-bet to 1,000, which only the Swede called. Both players checked the flop, Wigg then check-folded the turn to a bet of 1,500.

In the third hand of play, Jonathan Little received a nice boost to his stack when Petr Jelinek three-bet to 1,100 and the American called. On a flop of [6d[ , Little check-called a bet of 1,600 and did so again for 4,000 after the turn. The on the river was checked by both and Little scooped the pot with .
Jelinek got involved in another hand with Alexander Lahkov just now and Martin Staszko also called from the button moments after sitting down on the table. On the flop, Lahkov check-folded to a bet of 800 from Jelinek, Staszko called. The turn saw no action and Jelinek then quickly check-called a bet of 1,500 on the river. Staszko turned over for a straight and that won the pot.
