Simeon Naydenov Leads Final 19 into Day 3 of the 2014 partypoker WPT National Prague

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Simeon Naydenov

The action was fast and furious at the start of Day 2 of the 2014 partypoker World Poker Tour National €2,000 Main Event at the Corinthia Hotel in Prague, and 125 players returned to the tables of King's Casino. With late registration and single reentry option still available until the end of Level 9, many pros took advantage of the opportunity and jumped in. It would be an additional 21 entries that bumped the overall attendance to 251, and a prize pool of €438,250 was set. The top 27 spots were guaranteed at least €3,600, with the winner set to take home €105,000 on Sunday when the event concludes.

Fahredin Mustafov and Anton Wigg started as big stacks, but they would have to leave the tournament area within the first four levels. Other familiar faces such as Steve O'Dwyer, Michael Telker, Dylan Linde, Kevin MacPhee, Sinem Melin, Alessio Isaia, Marvin Rettenmaier, Micah Raskin, Robin Ylitalo, Bobby Oboodi, and Sorel Mizzi all followed before the dinner break. That's when the action slowed down with only seven eliminations in two levels before picking up speed again as play approached the bubble.

Day 1b chip leader Nikolay Tsanev lost the remainder of his stack with the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} to the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} of David Vamplew when the Brit made the nut flush on the turn. Vladimir Malak cracked the kings of Goswin Siemsen and Krzysztof Czerwinski. Jason Wheeler lost a chip-lead pot with pocket kings against the pocket aces of Zo Karim close to the money, and then Seth Berger ended up as "bubble boy." He three-bet shoved with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Steve Watts called with the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, and Berger was gone.

Ben Dobson, Ankush Mandavia, and Tom Hall settled for the minimum cash, whereas [Removed:17] turned a late entry into €4,100. It could have been far more though if he had not attempted to bluff start-of-day chip leader Alexander Lakhov off pocket kings close to the bubble.

Vamplew later lost a flip with the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} against the {A-Hearts}{8-Spades} of Chris Hunichen, and Steve Watts ran the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} into the {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} of Jonathan Klüpfel. Pawel Kapczynski then had a kicker problem with the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} against the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} of Oliver Heidel, and Stephen Chidwick busted in 20th place after failing to improve his short stack with the {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} versus the {A-Spades}{7-Spades} of Alex Goulder.

Whereas many players had a roller coaster of a day, Simeon Naydenov dominated his opponents from the start and was always near the top of the leader board. The World Series of Poker bracelet winner from Bulgaria bagged up 821,000, and Hunichen followed in second place with 794,000. Karim completed the podium with 615,000, but plenty of other well-known names are still in.

Tournament director Artur Voskanyan may not be a household name just yet, but the Russian accumulated an impressive 564,000. Other notables included Day 2 chip leader Lakhov (554,000), Sebastian Langrock (441,000), former footballer Sergej Barbarez (427,000), Andy Seth (332,000), and Jean-Philippe Piquette (99,000).

The third and final day of the Main Event will commence at 14:00 CET with blinds at 4,000/8,000/1,000 in Level 19. All remaining players have €4,600 guaranteed, and the full payout structure can be found here.

The PokerNews Live Reporting team will capture all decisive moments until the winner is crowned, so make sure to tune back in!

Stephen Chidwick Eliminated in 20th Place (€4,600)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

From under the gun, Stephen Chidwick moved all in for his last five big blinds (30,000 chips) and was called by Alex Goulder in the big blind. Chidwick had {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and Goulder the better kicker in {A-Spades} {7-Spades}. Both players hit the seven on the {J-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} flop, but the ace would scoop the pot with the {6-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river as final two community cards.

Suddenly, the field was reduced to only 19 players within the last 15 minutes of play. Chidwick receives €4,600 for his efforts, it will just be another line on his Hendon Mob profile though.

Pawel Kapczynski Eliminated in 21st Place (€4,600)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Pawel Kapczynski
Pawel Kapczynski

A short-stacked Pawel Kapczynski moved all in for 55,000 in the fourth last hand and Oliver Heidel reshoved from one seat over. All other players folded and Kapczynski was in need of some help with {A-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}. Heidel had him covered and also the better hand in {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}.

The {4-Hearts} {K-Spades} {9-Spades} flop immediately shut down all hopes of a comeback, the {9-Hearts} on the turn left Kapczynski drawing dead. The {Q-Spades} on the river was meaningless and just completed the dealer's duty. Kapczynski headed to the payout desk to collect €4,600 and only a few more hands are played before everyone bags and tags their chips.

Steve Watts Eliminated in 22nd Place (€4,100)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Steve Watts
Steve Watts

In a preflop raising war, Steve Watts was all in for what looked like 200,000 and Jonathan Klüpfel called with {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}. Watts had one over card with the {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} and indeed hit the {2-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} flop nicely. However, the {K-Spades} on the turn saw him drawing dead and the {10-Clubs} river was just a formality. The WPT National Marbella champion is out in 22nd place and receives €4,100.

David Vamplew Eliminated in 23rd Place (€4,100)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
David Vamplew
David Vamplew

Shortly after the bustout of [Removed:17], David Vamplew moved all in for 93,500 from the button. Chris Hunichen called from one seat over with {A-Hearts} {8-Spades} and it was a flip against the {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} of Vamplew. On the {8-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} flop, Hunichen improved but needed to dodge any club in order to score the knockout. The {2-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and the {Q-Hearts} river reduced the field to 22 players.

Vamplew takes home €4,100 for his efforts and another 20 minutes are to be played for on Day 2.

Tom Hall Eliminated in 25th Place (€3,600)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Tom Hall
Tom Hall

Alex Goulder made it 14,000 to go from middle position and Tom Hall moved all in for just over 100,000 chips with {5-Diamonds} {5-Spades} out of the big blind. Goulder called with {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} and it was almost all over after the {8-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} flop already. The {K-Hearts} on the turn left Hall drawing dead and a meaningless {J-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Hall also takes home the minimum cash of €3,600 and the payout step is already worth €4,100.

Ankush Mandavia Eliminated in 26th Place (€3,600)

Ankush Mandavia
Ankush Mandavia

Alex Goulder raised to 14,000 from middle position and Zo Karim called on the button. Ankush Mandavia moved all in for 120,000 out of the small blind and Goulder moved all in over the top for slightly more in chips. Karim mucked and Goulder turned over {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. Mandavia only had {A-Hearts} {9-Spades} and could not improve on a board of {10-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs}.

From under the gun, Ben Dobson moved all in for 46,000 chips and the action folded to Chris Hunichen in the big blind. He made the call with {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs} and had a flip against the {K-Hearts} {J-Clubs} of the Brit. Dobson couldn't improve with the board running out {5-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} and had to settle for the minimum cash worth €3,600.

Seth Berger is the Bubble Boy

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Seth Berger
Seth Berger

Steve Watts raised to 15,000 from early position and Seth Berger moved all in from the button for 33,500 in chips. Watts called with {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} and needed to improve if he was going to burst the bubble, as Berger held {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}.

On the {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {10-Hearts} flop, Berger already had a big sweat as any club would send him to the rail in 28th place. The {7-Spades} on the turn now also delivered an additional gutshot and the {9-Diamonds} on the river completed his misery. All remaining players are now guaranteed at least €3,600 and there is a quick break for the redraw of the last three tables.
