Once the dust had settled last night, 183 entries were recorded for the second starting day of the €1,800 + €200 partypoker WPT National Main Event at the Corinthia Hotel in Prague and 101 players would bag up chips after eight levels of 60 minutes each.
Combined with the 24 survivors from Day 1a, this makes for an overall field of 230 entries and 125 participants are returning to the tables for Day 2. Late registration as well as the single re-entry option remain available until the end of level nine at blinds 400-800 / ante 100 and once the registration is closed, the payout will be made available.
Day 1a chip leader Alexander Lakhov kept the overall lead with 182,900 closely followed by Day 1b chip leader Nikolay Tsanev on 178,700. Oliver Heidel (169,700), Fahredin Mustafov (160,000) and David Vamplew (148,500) complete the current top five. Other notables with decent stacks include Anton Wigg (139,000), Simeon Naydenov (121,100), Stephen Chidwick (111,400), Chris Hunichen (99,100) and Maxim Panyak (94,500).
Two-times WPT champion Marvin Rettenmaier (62,400), Jakob Karlsson (61,500), Vladimir Troyanovskiy (61,500), Ka Kwan Lau (60,900), Tom Hall (58,600) and Jason Wheeler (55,500) can be found in the middle of the pack just above average.
Players can still register in the first level of play on Day 2 and the action gets underway at 13:00 CET, the single re-entry is available as well in level nine still. The tentative plan for today is a maximum of 10 levels of 60 minutes each or reaching the last 18 players. As of 23:00 CET the official WPT Players Party kicks off with complimentary drinks at the Hany Bany club a few hundred meters away from the Corinthia Hotel.
Julian Thomas defended his big blind against a raise of Bryn Leskowitz to 1,800 and Andrew Christopher Hills had also called on the button. On the flop, Thomas checked, Leskowitz bet 2,700 and Hills called. Thomas jammed around 27,000 in chips with for middle pair and the flush draw.
Leskowitz folded but Hills called with . The on the turn changed nothing and neither did the on the river to send Thomas to the rail. The German won the WPT Prague Main Event at the Card Casino Prague last December.
David "MissOracle" Yan is already up to 100,000 despite showing up late and even forgetting his passport. The online grinder had some sort of ID though and got into the tournament in level nine still. Just now he four-bet shoved against Daniel Laming's pocket queens and won the flip with thanks to an ace on the turn.
A couple of well known names hit the rail this level. Alessio Isaia was one of them, then Kevin MacPhee had a kicker problem with against the of Adrian Eugen Constantin. And Sinem Melin just lost a flip to send her to the rail.
Emil Mattsson raised to 2,600 from under the gun and Melin was all in for 14,200 from middle position. In the big blind, Sandiep Khosa moved all in with the biggest stack of the three players and Mattsson eventually mucked.

The flop was good for Melin, but Khosa improved on the turn. Only a ten or jack would help Melin, yet the on the river was a brick.
Fahredin Mustafov started as one of the big stacks and also slightly increased his stack further to become a force to be reckoned. Until Seth Berger arrived at the table. The American just got gifted a huge double up for 110,000 preflop when the Bulgarian six-bet jammed with into the pocket kings of Berger. The flop gave Mustafov some outs but two blanks later his stack was halved.

Sebastian Langrock raised to 4,500 from early position and got two callers to the flop of . The action was checked to Maxim Panyak on the button and he bet 13,000 with another 40,000 behind. The player in the big blind folded and Langrock check-raised all in to put the Russian at risk.
Panyak eventually called off with for the open ended straight draw and Langrock had that beat with . The on the turn changed nothing and the on the river was a brick as well. Langrock is one of the contenders for the chip lead right now.
Jakub Kotas raised to 4,200 on the button and was called by both Manuel Sanchez Morito and Chris Hunichen in the blinds. On the flop, the action was checked to Kotas and he bet 6,500. Sanchez Morito raised to 14,000 and Hunichen now reraised to 23,100.
Kotas moved all in for 91,000 and Sanchez Morito tanked for a while before letting go his cards. Hunichen almost folded but then changed his mind and called with . The Czech only had for the straight draw and couldn't improve anymore with the turn and river as final community cards.
After a raise by Chris Hunichen, David Vamplew moved all in and Nikolay Tsanev called all in for less, Hunichen got out of the way. It was the for Vamplew against the of Tsanev and the day 1b chip leader was drawing dead after the turn of a board.
