The Defending Champion is Gone

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Julian Thomas
Julian Thomas

Julian Thomas defended his big blind against a raise of Bryn Leskowitz to 1,800 and Andrew Christopher Hills had also called on the button. On the {10-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} flop, Thomas checked, Leskowitz bet 2,700 and Hills called. Thomas jammed around 27,000 in chips with {Q-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} for middle pair and the flush draw.

Leskowitz folded but Hills called with {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts}. The {J-Spades} on the turn changed nothing and neither did the {A-Spades} on the river to send Thomas to the rail. The German won the WPT Prague Main Event at the Card Casino Prague last December.

Tremzin Loses Flip

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

There were four seat open including two of the late entrants on Day 2 and Gleb Tremzin just experienced a major setback against another late entry. It was a flip for 41,500 with {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} against the {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} of Niclas Adolfsson and the board ran out {6-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}.

TOTO is Gone

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
TOTO
TOTO

Today must have been a terrible run of cards for TOTO, as the King's regular is among the recently eliminated players. He got his last 18,000 chips all in preflop with {K-Spades} {5-Spades} and initial raiser Alan "Ari" Engel called with {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. The board ran out {10-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {7-Spades} and that was it for the German.

O'Dwyer and Peter Among Latest Bustouts

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Jaroslav Peter
Jaroslav Peter

The details of the Steve O'Dwyer bustout escaped us, but Jaroslav Peter was all in for his last 12,000 from the button and Fahredin Mustafov called out of the big blind. Peter had {5-Spades} {5-Hearts} and the Bulgarian had that beat with {7-Clubs} {7-Spades}. Both players joked before the showdown and were rooting to hit a set, but the dealer denied both wishes.

The board ran out {J-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {J-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} and that sent Peter to the rail. Mustafov is the first player to reach 200,000 in chips.

The Rise of Raskin

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Micah Raskin started the day just under average and then hit "a bunch of good hands" before getting involved into a battle of the blinds. His opponent five-bet shoved with {A-} {Q-} and Raskin's pair of sevens held up. The American has almost tripled up his stack already. Others were less fortunate and you can find them listed below.

Radzivonau Traps Cervinka

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Kiryl Radzivonau only flat-called the all in of Vojtech Cervinka out of the small blind after the Czech had pushed from the button and the player in the big blind folded. It was the {Q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} for Cervinka versus {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} and he eventually got an unlikely sweat on the {7-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} turn. The {9-Clubs} river was of no help and Cervinka was gone.
