Kingma Gets a Fold

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

A player raised to 3,400 and both blinds, including Martijn Kingma in the big blind, made the call. The flop brought out {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and all three players checked.

On the turn the {4-Hearts} popped up and Kingma bet 4,000 after the small blind had checked. The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and quickly Kingma bet 11,500, which got his opponent to fold.

Kingman now sits on 54,000 chips heading into the final stages of Day 1b.

Sikma Smoked

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Martijn Kingma raised to 3,300 from middle position and Germ Sikma, from him immediate left, moved all in for 20,400 chips. Joep van den Bijgaart woke up with a big hand in the blinds and he opted to re-shove.

Kingma folded and Van den Bijgaart turned over two queens versus Sikma's pair of jacks. The board brought four clubs, and Van den Bijgaart had one of those to give him a winnings flush.

Home Run For Hendriks

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

"Where have you been?" Alex Hendriks asked with a smile when we finally found him again in the poker room.

Hendriks was eager to tell us about a big hand he won that went as following.

Hendriks raised under the gun and the player in the cutoff called, as did the big blind. The flop brought out {10-}{5-}{4-} with two clubs and the big blind lead out for 5,500. Hendriks raised it up to 15,000 and the big blind made the call.

On the turn the {6-Clubs} hit and Hendriks' opponent lead for another 15,000 and the Dutchman called. The river was the fourth club and now the big blind checked. Hendriks bet 22,500 and out of nowhere his opponent moved all in.

Hendriks snap-called holding {A-Clubs}{J-} for the nut flush and his opponent showed[ 7d8d] for a straight. Hendriks raked in a huge pot and he now sits very comfortable on 147,000 chips.

Break

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The last break of the day has just begun. There are just two more levels left to be played after this short break.

Level: 13

Blinds: 1,000/2,000

Ante: 300

Kingma Ousted

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Martijn Kingma was just all in for very little chips and he was up against two players, Joep van den Bijgaart and Roel Evers.

We picked up the action on the river when the board read {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Evers bet 5,000. Van den Bijgaart hesitated for a bit but eventually he made the call.

Evers showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for a queen-high straight and Van den Bijgaart flashed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} before tossing his cards into the muck. King had flopped a great hand holding {9-}{8-}, but in the end he did not manage to triple up.

Another One For Hendriks

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Freerk Post just ended up all in before the flop for around 25,000 chips and Alex Hendriks called holding {Q-}{Q-}. The board brought no help for Post's {A-}{K-} and he hit the rail for the second consecutive day.

Hendriks meanwhile is up to around 200,00 chips and one of the chip leaders of the tournament.
