Nicholas Palma is the first player past the 400,000-chip mark and into the lead now.
He flopped top pair with a decent kicker holding . Then he turned two pair, and when it was all said and done, he got a whole whack of chips from Kevin Singh having his outkicked.
Shaan Siddiqui had worked his way up to 85,000 on Day 1b when disaster struck late.
He got it in with top two against bottom set and the set held, knocking him down to a mere 8,000 in chips.
Que the comeback! Siddiqui got it in with sixes against big slick and held, then kept spinning it up until he was over and above 85,000 again.
The Montreal local then bagged a decent stack and came into the day with a lot of hope. Now he finds himself among the chip leaders after making the nut straight against one shorter stack with the bottom end this level.
He's up to 300,000 and and counting as the wild ride continues.
