Chattaway Four-Bets

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

American grinder, Jason Wheeler, raised to 750 from the cutoff and faced some resistance in the shape of Stacy Coore on the button who three-bet to 2,250. The small blind mucked, but Chattaway stuck in a four-bet to 5,450. Wheeler quickly folded, and Coore followed suit, showing the {A-Hearts} as he did so. Chattaway responded by showing the {A-Diamonds} as he scooped the pot.

Jordon Catches a Lucky Break

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

We said earlier that Terry Jordon plays an unorthodox style and he's proved us correct. We just caught him all-in for his last 10,500 chips from the small blind with {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} on a {J-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop versus the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} of Sergio Aido. A {6-Hearts} on the turn propelled Jordon into the lead and the {A-Clubs} river kept him there.

Richard Kellett and Simon Deadman

There are now 25 players in their seats thanks to the addition of Kuljinder Sidhu. This has caused a break in the tables and the 25 hopefuls are now spread across four tables, with Simon Deadman leading from the front.

Mateos Mauls Sion

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Elior Sion raised to 600 from under the gun and sparked a flurry of callers to his left. Billy Chattaway in the hijack, Adrian Mateos on the button, Senh Ung in the small blind and Jason Wheeler in the big blind made for a five-way contested pot.

Everyone checked to Mateos on the {2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop, he bet 2,000 and only Sion called. Another five, the {5-Clubs} landed on the turn and Sion checked to Mateos, and the dangerous Spaniard bet 5,000. Again, Sion called.

The fifth and final community card was the {J-Diamonds} and Sion checked once more. Mateos placed three 5,000 chips in front of him, and Sion called that 15,000 only to be shown {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for trip fives a hand he couldn't beat, leaving Mateos to climb to 77,000.

Trigg Has McAulay Out-Kicked

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

A raise to 525 from Craig McCorkell under the gun was met with calls from Richard Trigg on the button and Daniel McAulay in the big blind. All three players checked their option on the {4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} flop and did the same on the {2-Hearts} turn. McAulay led for 1,000 on the {K-Spades} river, folding out McCorkell, but Trigg looked him up.

McAulay turned over {K-}{Q-} and lost to Trigg's {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

Jordon Hoping for a Slam Dunk

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

A few months ago, Terry Jordon won the partypoker Pokerfest Live Main Event for £52,000 and he's parleyed some of those winnings into this £5,250 buy-in event. Jordon plays something of an unorthodox style of poker that is sure to keep his opponents guessing, something that could come in handy in this field.

Warburton Utilises the Power of Position

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Richard Kellett raised to 550 in the hijack seat and found two callers. The first was Steven Warburton on the button and the second Sam Trickett in the small blind.

A rather innocuous-looking flop of {3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} didn't seem to interest either Trickett or Kellet who both checked, leaving the door open for a bet from Warburton. He took that chance, making it 1,200 to continue and when both of his opponents folded, Warburton added a few chips to his stack.
