Welcome to Day 1b of the 2015 bwin.be WPT National Brussels

The second starting day of the €1,100+€100 bwin.be WPT National Brussels Main Event promises to attract a far bigger field than yesterday's 144 entries, as already 160 players had purchased their ticket before the doors of the Grand Casino Brussels Viage had opened its doors at 12 p.m. CET. Yesterday's €170 Satellite reached its maximum cap of 100 participants with 12 seats being awarded, the 13th place finisher received a consolation prize of €600.

In about 90 minutes from now at 2 p.m. CET, Day 1b will get underway and everyone that played in the first flight is welcome back at the tables in order to build a bigger stack for Day 2. Among those to likely return after busting on Day 1a are Guillaume Darcourt, Barny Boatman, Martin Mulsow, Jörg Peisert and Pierre Neuville. WPT Nottingham champion Matas Cimbolas is on the way from London and Sinem Melin also arrived in the Belgian capital as well.

Day 1b will feature a total of 12 levels of 45 minutes each with a 15-minute break every three levels. After the end of level eight there is a 75-minute dinner break and registration officially closes at the end of level nine. Bagging and tagging should take place half past midnight and 21 tables upstairs as well as another eight tables downstairs are ready to welcome poker enthusiasts from near and far. Will anyone be able to turn his starting stack of 30,000 chips to more than the 210,900 of Mike Gerry?
