The Final Flight of the 2015 WPT National London Accumulator Awaits

The race for the chip lead continues at the Aspers Casino
The race for the chip lead continues at the Aspers Casino

Two of the three flights of the £ 200 No Limit Hold'em partypoker WPT National London Accumulator at the Aspers Casino are done and dusted. Day 1b finished about an hour ago with 83 players out of the 177 entries bagging up chips and Matas Cimbolas jumped into the overall lead after a steamrolling performance that netted him 169,200.

He is not guaranteed the lead for tomorrow's day 2 though, as several other players such as Surinder Sunar, Gareth Smirthwaite and Jeraint Hazan bagged up chips in both previous flights. The overall attendance has increased to 370 entries and the final heat as of 8 p.m. UK time will decide if the guarantee of £ 100,000 will be eclipsed and by how much.

The PokerNews team will be back in half an hour when the third and final flight gets underway with another eight 30-minute levels scheduled and a starting stack of 20,000 chips. Among those to return to the tables are Gabriel Tuna, James Dempsey and WPT champions club member Tony Dunst. Many others will likely take the third bullet as well to increase their odds of a deep run.

Fresh Stacks

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Don't get confused by the huge difference in chips for some of the below players, as the system picks up the difference to their last recorded stack at the end of day 1b. However, all entries on the third and final flight are on a fresh bullet with the starting stack once again.

Value-Betting Seven Deuce

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Arriving at the table of William Kassouf and Gareth Smirthwaite, a board of {4-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} was spread in front of the dealer and Carlo Citrone as well as his opponent both checked. The {4-Spades} river then saw Citrone bet 1,125 and he was called to flip over {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. "That's how you play seven deuce," Citrone said in a sarcastic voice and Kassouf even added "it was a valuebet." The opponent had called with {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} to scoop the pot.

Shevket Likes to Show

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

In the previous two heats, Yilfer Shevket has been quite talkative at his tables and also often showed his cards after the opponents had folded. Exactly the same happened now again after he check-raised a flop of {Q-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {3-Hearts} from 1,500 to 4,500. His opponent on the button gave it some thought before mucking and Yevket showed him and the whole table his {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}.

Hemmings Busts Redgedwell

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

After two limps for 100 chips and the raise of Gary Redgewell to 600 from the cutoff, Adam Hemmings three-bet to 1,800 from the button. The limpers both folded and Redgewell called to see the flop of {4-Spades} {4-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}, which prompted Redgewell to open shove for 18,000 chips.

Hemmings made the call with {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} and only had to fear two outs as his opponent held pocket kings. The {6-Clubs} turn and the {Q-Diamonds} river bricked and Redgewell was the first player to bust on day 1c.
