Calin With Perfect Start

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

At the start of level two, Zagon Carlin called a large three-bet preflop to see the flop of {A-Spades} {K-} {J-Spades}. His opponent made a large continuation bet and a raising war broke out to see both players all in. Calin held {K-Spades} {10-Spades} for middle pair, gutshot and the nut flush draw whereas his opponent held {A-} {Q-} for top pair and the flush draw.

A queen on the river improved Calin to a straight and he is on track for another decent stack after finishing day 1b in the top 10.

Tolentino Doubles With Aces

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

After four players had invested 2,300 chips preflop, Warren Tolentino and one further opponent tossed in 5,000 chips after a flop of {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} {4-Spades}. Tolentino was then all in for his last 5,050 after the {2-Diamonds} river and got called by the opponent with {K-Spades} {9-Spades} for the flush draw. Tolentino held {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} and faded the spades as the {5-Hearts} river completed the board.

Only two minutes later the opponent ran out of chips entirely and left the tournament area.

Dempsey Takes Long Break

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
James Dempsey
James Dempsey

Sinem Melin and James Dempsey headed over to the partypoker lounge to have some fun at the ping pong table. Some raised eyebrows resulted in the "I am just taking a short break" by Melin whereas Dempsey joked "and I am taking a long break." Quick check at his former table that includes Ali Zihni and the bustout was confirmed.

The chips went to Vladimir Marchevici, who doubled up his starting stack. Zihni is not doing too shabby himself either.

Kenny is King

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

After the {10-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {3-Spades} {6-Clubs} turn, Kenny King bet 2,050 and was called by two opponents before the action was checked to him again in the hijack seat after the {8-Hearts} river. King announced a bet of 3,800 and tossed in a black T-5,000 chip, which was again called by both opponents.

It was King who flipped over {6-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} for trips sixes and both opponents tapped the table before mucking their cards. "Back in the game," one could hear from King.
