Damien Luis Eliminated

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Damien Luis had just lost aces to ace-nine on a nine-high board where his opponent had a flush draw besides his top pair. The club on the turn had given his opponent a the nuts and set Luis back.

He lost the remainder of his stack shortly after the break as he got it in with {Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} against the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} of Mohammed Lahlou. By the time the turn had hit, Luis was already on his way to the payout; {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

An Ace on the River Eliminates Tony Dunst

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

From the hijack, Alexandre Andre Henri De Zutter raised to 35,000. It folded around to Tony Dunst in the small blind and he made it 105,000 with 236,000 behind.

The big blind folded and action was back on De Zutter. He thought about it for a bit, said something to Dunst we couldn't quite hear, and moved in. Dunst called immediately to De Zutter's disgust as he turned over his cards with a pained face, realizing he wasn't good.

Alexandre Andre Henri De Zutter: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Tony Dunst: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The flop ({K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}) and turn ({8-Clubs}) were safe cards for Dunst, but the {A-Hearts} on the river sure wasn't.

"Good luck guys" Dunst said as he made his exit in 18th place.

Cyril Gomez Eliminated

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Cyril Gomez got his last 235,000 chips in good holding {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} up against {A-Spades}{J-Spades}. The board ran out {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} however, and Gomez made his exit in 17th place.

With that, the tournament is down to 16 players and a redraw is underway. While the initial plan for the day had been to play down to the final two tables, the organization has decided to keep playing till at least 14 players remain.

Farid Azarkan Hits the Rail

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

In a blind battle, Farid Azarkan got his last chips in from the small blind with {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. His neighbor Arthur Conan looked him up with {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The board ran out {J-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and with the rivered straight, Conan collected the chips and Azarkan made his exit in 16th place.

Action Card on the River

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Alexandre Andre Henri De Zutter raised the button to 35,000 and big blind Arthur Conan called.

Conan check-called a bet of 28,000 on {6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} before leading 65,000 on the {7-Diamonds} turn. De Zutter called and instantly called the 200,000 bet that followed on the {4-Diamonds} river as well.

Conan showed {5-Hearts}{8-Spades} for the rivered straight but that hand hit the muck soon enough as De Zutter tabled {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the rivered flush.

Guiot Doubles

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Arthur Conan was first to act and raised to 45,000. Two positions down, Jean-Claude Guiot three-bet to 110,000 from the hijack. Action got back to Conan who pushed. Guiot called all in for 418,000.

Jean-Claude Guiot: {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Arthur Conan: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Guiot doubled.

Pierre Antoine Quignard Eliminated

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Action folded to Mohammed Lahlou in the small blind and he pushed all in to put Pierre Antoine Quignard to the ultimate test; call for all of it, or fold to live another day. Quignard was quick to call, putting in his last 295,000 without any hesitation.

Mohammed Lahlou: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Pierre Antoine Quignard: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, putting Lahlou well in front. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn gave Quignard some outs but the {2-Clubs} on the river blanked and the tournament was down to 14 players.

With that, the tournament clock was stopped. The 14 players return tomorrow for the final day with still 28 minutes and 12 seconds left on the clock in the 10,000/20,000 (3,000-ante) level.
