So far, we've lost 40 players out of the 103 that started day 2 and we've not even finished the second level. The average stack is now around 77 big blinds, which is huge.
Players still are busting with decent regularity but we're assuming play will have to slow down at some point right? I mean, it's got to slow down at some point, surely? Right?
Seems like check raising is all the rage here today.
Ercan Olgun had bet 5,200 and was raised by Bart Bogdan to 13,200. The blinds folded and Olgun made the call. The flop was . Olgun checked and Bogdan couldn’t resist the bet to 12,700. Olgun came back over the top of him for 29,400 and Bogdan let it go.
On the turn of a board, Sergey Rybachenko fired out a bet of 18,000 against Natalya Nikitina. The latter made the call to see the on the river but instead of being an action card, both players stopped dead and checked it down.
Rybachenko flipped and Nikitina smiled weakly and mucked.
Max Droege is full of energy and chatter at the table today, bouncing around despite making a late appearnce at the WPT player's party last night.
He complained to PokerNews between hands that he had been card dead today and had to fold his only decent hand, a pair of jacks, pre-flop when he faced a three-bet. The flop contained an ace so perhaps he was happy to get away from it without putting a chip in the pot. He is not letting the lack of premium hands get him down though, commenting, "Hey it was like that most of the day yesterday and then look what happened"
Sergey Rybachenko bet 10,800 on a board of and was raised by Osman Topcu to 22,000. Rybachenko moved all in and Topcu called, showing but was dismayed to see the of Rybachenko. The last card was a blank and Toppcu headed for the exit.
With a min raise in front of him, Dani Parlafes decided to make his move from the small blind and moved all in. Unfortunately Kfir Yamin in the big blind had woken up with a real hand and moved all in as well. Parfales turned over his and his heart sunk to see Yamin’s . There was some hope when the first card came out but it was not to be. and Parfales was out.
