We've reached that stage of the tournament when picking up blinds and antes becomes a huge part of the strategy. Very few flops have been seen at either of the remaining tables.

John Kincaid Mixes It Up

Ron Koenemann raised to 6,000 from late position. Bernard Lee called from the small blind and John Kincaid pondered for a bit from the big blind. Eventually Kincaid pushed out 21,000. Koenemann folded instantly and when the action got back around to Lee he said "I guess I should have raised." Lee thought a bit and finally passed. Kincaid flipped up the {10-Clubs}

and tossed it into the muck as he stacked the pot.

Jesse Bowman Has Been Eliminated

Ben Hock Doubles Through Nicholas Manganaro

Nicholas Manganaro raised to 5,500 from middle position. Ben Hock moved all in for 13,700 more. Manganaro eventually called and said "I hope you have a small pair." Hock showed {J-Diamonds}

which was in a race with Manganaro's {K-Spades}

. Hock's hooks held up and he doubled up to just under 40,000.

Tom Farnsworth Doubles Through Josh Harshbarger

Josh Harshbarger raised to 5,500 in middle position. Tom Farnsworth was next to act and moved all in for 7,300. Action folded back around to Harshbarger who made the call. The players showed:

Harshbarger: {K-Diamonds}

Farnsworth: {6-Clubs}

Harshbarger failed to improve and Farnsworth doubled up to around 17,000 chips.

Tony Merksick Eliminated by Bernard Lee

Tony Merksick was eliminated when his A-Q couldn't get the better of Bernard Lee's pocket eights. Merksick paired his ace when the flop came down {A-Diamonds}

but when the turn and river came a {10-Spades}

and

respectively, Lee's straight won the pot and sent Merksick home in 16th place.

Samuel Shamburg Doubles Through Dan Jensen

Samuel Shamburg raised to 6,000 from early position. Action folded around to Dan Jensen and he re-raised to 14,000. Shamburg moved all in for about 25,000 total. Jensen called and the players showed:

Shamburg:

Things were looking bleak for Shamburg who still had ace high by the turn. His prayers were answered however when the dealer laid down the {K-Hearts}

on the river. Samuel Shamburg is still alive and doubled up to just over 50,000.
