David Zeitlin Eliminated in 9th Place ($20,184)

David Zeitlin - 9th Place
David Zeitlin - 9th Place
Frank Vizza raised to 55,000 from the cutoff seat after action folded to him. The button and small blind folded before David Zeitlin reraised all in for a little over 300,000 chips. Vizza tossed over pocket aces and made the call.

Showdown:
Vizza: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}
Zeitlin: {6-Spades} {6-Clubs}

The flop came down {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} and Zeitlin stood from his seat to get a head start on his exit. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and then the river the {A-Diamonds}. Vizza made a full house on the hand and sent Zeitlin to the rail as the first player out. He earned a little over $20,000 for his efforts.

Vizza is now the first player over one million chips!

After eliminating David Zeitlin, Frank Vizza proceeded to raise the next few hands all to 55,000. Finally, he got some action when he raised to 55,000 from early position and Chris Klodnicki moved all in for about 400,000 from the big blind. Vizza quickly made the call.

Showdown:
Vizza: {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}
Klodnicki: {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} and that would be it for Klodnicki. He passed his chips over to Vizza and made his way to the rail in 8th place.

Bolotin Can't Eliminate Young

Action folded around to Jason Young on the button and he moved all in for 171,000 total. Matt Brady got out of the way from the small blind and Alex Bolotin called in the big blind with pocket sixes. Young held {K-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}.

The flop was good for Young when it came {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and the crowd let out a big cheer for Young. The turn stayed clean with the {J-Diamonds} and Bolotin would need a six on the river to bust Young.

The dealer dealt the {8-Diamonds} on the river and Young slapped hands with his mates on the rail as Bolotin shipped over the chips.

Get Your Double Ups

With the betting folded around to the blinds, Alex Bolotin opened with a raise. Big blind Michael Michnik announced that he was all in for 217,000, and Bolotin quickly called, putting his opponent's tournament life in jeopardy.

Showdown:
Bolotin: {A-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}
Michnik: {K-Spades} {Q-Spades}

The flop smiled on Michnik as it came down {8-Spades} {K-Clubs} {2-Clubs}. The turn and river were the {J-Diamonds} and {8-Clubs} respectively, and Michnik's pair of kings is the winner. With that, he doubles his way up to 445,000, leaving Bolotin behind with his 320,000.

Vizza Finds Aces Again

Frank Vizza
Frank Vizza
Frank Vizza limped into the pot from early position, and Alex Bolotin and Michael Michnik saw a cheap flop from the blinds.

Three handed, the flop came {6-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {7-Clubs}. Bolotin led out with a bet of 35,000. Michnik folded, while Vizza made the call.

On the turn, the {7-Diamonds} paired the board. This time, both men checked. The river brought another repeat card, the {6-Hearts}. Bolotin checked one more, and Vizza fired out 70,000 chips. Without hesitation, Bolotin announced, "I call," tabling {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Vizza open-mucked his own hand, revealing {A-?} {A-?}.

Frank Vizza has been a complete card rack here in the early going, but Bolotin finally managed to take a pot off the visor-wearing pro.

Eights Win for Brady

Matt Brady limped in from under the gun and everyone folded to Samuel Chartier in the small blind. He completed and then Jason Young checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} and everyone checked. The turn brought the {K-Hearts} and Chartier led for 32,000. Only Brady made the call.

The river brought the {3-Spades} and both players checked.

Brady turned up {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} and scooped the pot as Chartier showed {5-?} {4-?}.

Brady Loses Another

Alex Bolotin raised to 40,000 from under the gun and Matt Brady was the only caller in the big blind. Both players checked the flop of {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}. They would also check the turn when the {8-Clubs} came.

After the river came the {10-Clubs}, Brady led out for around 40,000. Bolotin quickly made the call and almost immediately grabbed the chips when he showed {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}. Brady showed the low end of the straight with a six, but only Bolotin saw his hand.

Vizza Doubles Chartier

Frank Vizza raised to 55,000 from middle position. Samuel Chartier was in the cutoff seat in the next position and reraised all in for 285,000 total. Everyone folded back over to Vizza and he thought for a few moments before saying, "All right, I call."

Vizza turned up {6-Spades} {5-Spades}. Chartier held pocket sevens and Vizza was upset that his opponent held a pair.

The flop came down {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} as the crowd stood to their feet to get a closer look of the action. The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and that sealed things. The river was a meaningless {3-Hearts} and Chartier successfully doubled through Vizza.

Chartier and Vizza Battle Again!

On a flop of {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {7-Spades}, Frank Vizza led out for 175,000 and Samuel Chartier raised to 400,000. Vizza moved all in to put Chartier at risk, but Chartier snap-called with a set of sevens. Vizza held just bottom pair and a backdoor flush draw with the {9-Hearts} {7-Hearts}.

The turn brought the {Q-Spades} and Vizza would now need a queen to chop up the pot. The river was the {J-Hearts} though and Chartier's group of railbirds erupted with a loud cheer. The young Canadian is now over one million chips.

Pair v. Pair

From the button, Samuel Chartier opened with a raise to 50,000. Jason Young folded his small blind, but Matt Brady announced an all in from the big blind. He had 427,000 chips left, and they were all committed to the pot. As soon as the words were out of Brady's mouth, Chartier snap-called, putting the shiny-headed pro to the test for his tournament life.

Showdown:
Chartier: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Brady: {3-Clubs} {3-Spades}

The crowd began to stir with anticipation of this big pot, but the at-risk Brady simply sat statue-still in his chair, gazing at the felt. As the spectators leaned closer, the dealer spread out the flop: {3-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. The railbirds erupted in a huge reaction to Brady's come-from-behind set. The hand was far from over though, as Chartier had flopped a flush draw. The turn was safe, the {4-Spades}. Fifth street was red, but it was the {J-Hearts}, filling up Brady's full house and earning him a huge double up. He has climbed all the way up to 840,000, in a dead heat for the chip lead now.
