Aces Abound

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Two simultaneous hands at adjacent tables:

Eli Berg was the first to find pocket aces, and he got his last ~50,000 chips into the middle preflop with {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}. Action came from Bryn Kenney and his {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts}, and the board ran out {3-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {7-Spades}. Berg is up to 105,000 now, dropping Kenney down to about 57,000.

At nearly the same time, Wooyang Lin was looking down at his own {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}. Jared Jaffee was the preflop aggressor, and he made the covering raise with {J-Diamonds} {J-Spades}. It was a half-slowroll by Lin as he let out a big sigh and slowly grabbed the last of his chips, taking about ten seconds to make a call that should have taken one. In any event, the call came, and the board ran out {8-Spades} {K-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} to hold Lin's aces and double him up to 124,000. Jaffee is down to 62,000 and still jawing at Lin a little bit. He finished with something along the lines of, "You know what? If I keep talking to you, I'm just going to get angry."
