Frankenberger Finds Some Fightin' Chips

Level 24 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Andy Frankenberger
Andy Frankenberger

The table folded around to the blinds, and Todd Terry announced an all in. It was for big blind Andy Frankenberger's stack of 212,000, and Mr. Frankenberger took a good long soak in the tank. He set his drink on which he'd been sipping on the side table next to him, and his attention turned to Terry. He shot him a direct glare, then turned his head front while continuing to eye up his opponent out of the corner of his vision. After about two or three minutes of dead silence in the room, Frankenberger came to life with a loud and fast, "Call!" Just like that, the cards were on their backs:

Terry: {A-Spades} {7-Hearts}
Frankenberger: {A-Hearts} {9-Clubs}

"This is a chop a lot of the time," someone in the audience said. It wouldn't be a chop this time, however, as the board ran out {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}. Frankenberger was sweating it hard, but that was safe and sound for his better kicker, and he has doubled up.

"Nice call, Andy!" Dwyte Pilgrim yelled from the bleachers.

After that pot, the two men have essentially traded chip stacks:

Frankenberger - 438,000
Terry - 180,000
