Day 1 Started
Good morning and welcome to the penultimate Main Event of the 2010-11 World Series of Poker Circuit season.
This trip brings us to the outskirts of Philadelphia where Harrah's Chester sits nestled between the meandering Delaware River and an imposing concrete jail. It's surprisingly cozy and well-appointed, though. Preliminary events have been running for a couple weeks, and there's just one more ring event to go. It's the $1,600 Main Event, and it's got a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000. The staff is optimistic of besting that guarantee, but reaching as high as 300 players looks like a longshot at this point.
We're still waiting for the players to begin streaming into the tournament room, but we have seen a few familiar faces around town already. Mike "Little Man Sica", Chris Tryba, Allen Kessler, "Miami" John Cernuto -- most of the Circuit regulars that aren't in Madrid figure seem to be in Chester right now. We'd expect to see most of the familiar East Coast crew here as registration rolls on into the start of play.
We're less than a half hour from our starting time, and the dealers have just taken their seats. The chips are being checked, the decks suited, and we're almost ready for play. Don't wander off; the Main Event is almost here!

The cards are in the air, and the Main Event is a go. The board shows 189 registered so far, and the staff would very much like to find another 51 players to meet the $400,000 guarantee.
We arrived at his table in time to see Zach "HustlerGrune" Grunberg check-call a bet of 175 on a board.
When the river brought the , Gruneberg bet 350. His opponent quickly called, but saw he was beat when Gruneberg tabled for a flush to take down an early pot.
We've just ticked up to 202 players on the board, and registration is still open until 2:00 P.M., 100 minutes from now.
With the board reading , action was checked to Bernard Lee on the button and he bet 550. His lone opponent in the hand called to see the hit the river. Immediately, Lee's opponent fired 1,250. That didn't seem to bother Lee much, though, popping it to 3,125 after about 30 seconds. His opponent gave it up and Lee took the pot.

As Level 1 nears its end, several notables have arrived and taken their seats. Among them are Shawn Busse, Chris Relock, La Sengphet, Matt Iles, Huy Nguyen, Chris Tryba, Kenny Nguyen, Mike Mustafa, and Will "The Thrill" Failla.
On a board, Shawn Busse and another player check-called 1,200 from an aggressor on the button. The river fell the and once again, action was checked to the player on the button. He bet 2,200 and was again called by Busse and the other opponent.
"Flush," announced Busse as he showed . Neither opponent could table anything better, giving the pot to Busse.
