2010-11 World Series of Poker Circuit - Harrah's Tunica
John Holley raised to 45,000 from middle position and was met with a raise to 135,000 from Matthew Lawrence in the big blind. Holley simply moved all in for 423,000 and Lawrence made the call to create a nearly 900K pot.
Lawrence:

Holley:

Holley had run smack dab into pocket rockets but managed to overcome them when the flop fell

. Suddenly Lawrence needed an ace to make a set and reclaim the lead. The
turn was not it and neither was the
river. Lawrence took a big hit down to 545,000 while Holley doubled to 897,000.
Two hands led to the demise of Steve Galey. The first occurred when action folded to Kurt Jewell in the cutoff and he raised to 48,000. Galey called from the small blind and the two watched the flop come down

. Galey led out for 150,000, Jewell moved all in for 426,000, and Galey called:

Galey:

Jewell had two overs but could hit neither as the board ran out

. Jewell doubled on the hand to 890,000 while Galey dropped to just 85,000.
A short time later, Galey moved all in from the hijack for 68,000 with
and was called bu the
of Mark Kehrees in the cutoff. The board ran out

and Kehrees chipped up to 410,000. Meanwhile, Galey was eliminated from the WSOPC Harrah's Tunica Main Event in 14th place.
Now that the remaining players have chipped up and have stacks compatible with the blinds, the action seems to have slowed up a bit. There is about 80 minutes left of play, so it ought to be close on whether or not we reach the final table tonight.
Action folded all the way around to Brian Burney on the button and put in a standard raise. La Sengphet then moved all in from the big blind for 174,000, which Burney called.
Sengphet:

Burney:

Sengphet was a dog but not after the flop came down

. She was suddenly in the lead and looking to dodge an ace and queen. The
turn was no danger, so it was down to the river. The dealer burned and slowly turned over the
. Sengphet survived and doubled to 379,000 while Burney took a small hit down to 890,000.
With about 100,000 in the pot and a board reading

, Jim Dowen moved all in for 155,000 and was called by John Nguyen. Dowen showed
for a pair of queens while Nguyen turned over
for two pair. The
on the river changed nothing and Dowen was eliminated in 13th place while Nguyen is up to 1.63 million.
Level: 26
Blinds: 12,000/24,000
Ante: 4,000
Just before the level up, action folded to Kurt Jewell on the button and he moved all in. Mark Kehrees called off his last 240,000 from the big blind and the cards were flipped:
Kehrees:

Jewell:

Kehrees had to be liking his chance of a double, but not after the flop came down

. Jewell had hit his ace and was now in the lead. The
turn was not very exciting and it was down to the river. Unfortunately for Kehrees, it came the
and he was eliminated in 12th place. Jewell is up to 1.55 million.
Preston Derden was under the gun and raised to 60,000. Action folded to Matthew Lawrence on the button and he promptly moved all in for 260,000. The blinds got out of the way and Derden made the call.
Derden:

Lawrence:

It was a cooler for Lawrence to run his kings into pocket rockets at this point in the tournament. While he desperately needed a king, it did not come as the board ran out

. Derden took down the pot and increased his stack to 615,000 while Lawrence visited the payout desk in eleventh place.
John Holley raised to 65,000 from middle position and received calls from Sam Barnhart in the hijack and Jesse White on the button. La Sengphet then moved all in for 387,000, the ultimate squeeze. Both Holley and Barnhart folded and action was back on White. He debated a long time before mucking pocket nines face-up. Sengphet practically doubled on the hand as she is up to 636,000.
