Break it Down

The clock has been paused as level 12 has come to a close. It's another 15-minute break, the penultimate one of the night, and we'll be right back with another two levels of action.

Richey Picks Up Another

On the turn, the board read {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Brett Richey fired 10,000 after action was checked by his opponent. The player made the call and the river brought the {7-Clubs}. Action checked to Richey again and he fired 17,000. HIs opponent folded and Richey moved back to about 92,000 in chips.

Brady Doubled Through

From the button, Matt Brady raised to 3,000. The small blind three-bet shoved for 14,200 and Brady made the quick call with the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. The small blind held the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The small blind flopped a queen as the board ran out {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and he doubled through. Brady dropped to 53,000 in chips.

Ilich Gone

A player in middle position opened with a raise to 3,300 before the hijack seat and cutoff seat called. Drazen Ilich was on the button and reraised all in for 17,700. The original raiser folded after the blinds mucked and then the hijack seat reraised all in for about 30,000 total. The cutoff also folded.

Ilich held the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and was dominated by the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} for the player in the hijack seat. After the board ran through {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Ilich's tournament was over and he made his way to the exit.

Brikis = 0

Josh Brikis
Josh Brikis

A player in middle position opened to 3,000 before the Kevin Saul show started. He asked the player in the big blind how much he was playing (~33,000), then announced, "I'm gonna make it.... sixty... -six... hundred... no, six thousand... eight hundred." With that, he added his 6,800 chips to the pot before his old pal Josh Brikis moved all in for 11,300 next door. The initial raiser folded, and Saul quickly made the call to see what was what.

Showdown
Saul: {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}
Brikis: {A-Spades} {J-Clubs}

There was an ace on the flop, but the rest of it was not good. It came {5-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {K-Spades}, and the {2-Spades} turn and {7-Hearts} river relieved Brikis of the rest of his stack.

Saul > Brikis

Josh Brikis and Kevin Saul has seen some drastic changes in their stacks thanks to a big pot played between the two. We didn't catch the action, but we can tell you that it went Saul's way. He's up to about 180,000 and cruising along nicely behind a mountain of chips. Brikis on the other hand, dropped way down to just 12,000.

Brady 75% to 100k

Action folded around to the player in the cutoff seat and he limped in. Matt Brady was in the small blind and made it 4,100 to go. The big blind folded and then the limper made the call, to which Brady asked to see the player's stack after he called. The player pushed it out to show he had 15,200 left.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} and Brady fired enough to put the opponent all in. The player made the call with the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Brady tabled the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} to pair the board and then the river nailed Brady with the {A-Spades}, vaulting him to the best hand. He sent the player to the rail, collected the pot and moved to about 75,000 in chips.
