Steven Marshall Eliminated in 8th Place ($10,898)

We expected action to be fast based upon the chip differentials at the start of the day, and we were right. In the last hand, action folded to Steven Marshall in the small blind and he moved all in for his stack of 218,000. Yair Alon was in the big blind and made the call.

Marshall: {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Alon: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Alon was in great shape to eliminate his opponent as the flop fell {5-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Both players made a pair of kings but Alon's kicker was best. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing while the {4-Hearts} river gave both players made two pair. Because Alon's jack kicker played, Marshall was eliminated in 7th place. Alon is up to 630,000.
