Adams Flops a Straight

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Just before the break, John Adams became involved in a hand with a flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. An under-the-gun player checked to Adams on the button and he promptly bet 1,000, which received a call. The dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts} and again it went check, bet 2,500, and call.

When the {4-Spades} hit the river, the UTG player checked, Adams fired out 5,000, and a call ensued. Adams showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a flopped straight and it was enough to win the hand. He is up to around 38,000.
