Pahuja doubles
Pahuja doubles

Roland Israelashvili opened in late position and Mukul Pahuja moved all in for 134,000. Israelashvili called and had Pahuja crushed.

Showdown
Pahuja: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Israelashvili: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop changed nothing, but the {a-Spades} spiked on the turn, giving Pahuja a big lead. The {a-Clubs} on the river gave Pahuja trips for kicks and giggle, and he doubled to 275,000 chips.

Israelashvili dropped to around 180,000.

Mitchnick Making the Most of It

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Lynne Mitchnick has long been the last woman standing in the event, having successfully preserved a below-average stack as players continue to be eliminated. "Short-stack ninja," she said smilingly when reporting her status to one of the other local players still in the event.

Just Mitchnick open-raised all in for her last 116,000 from the small blind and got one caller in Adam Lippert in the BB. Mitchnick had {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and needed help versus Lippert's {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} if she hoped to survive.

The flop brought Mitchnick a needed pair, coming {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, and after the {6-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river she retained her seat, now with about 250,000 in front of her. Lippert has about 480,000 at the moment.

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Russell Crane - Eliminated in 24th Place
Russell Crane - Eliminated in 24th Place

John Andress opened to 24,000 from early position and Russell Crane three-bet jammed from middle position. Scott Carpenter iso-shoved near the button, the blinds released and so too did Andress.

Showdown
Crane: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Carpenter: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop came down {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Carpenter took a commanding lead. Neither the turn ({6-Diamonds}) nor the river ({10-Diamonds}) brought a queen and Crane was eliminated.

Vanchiro Out, Ali New Leader

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jeffrey Vanchiro, 23rd place
Jeffrey Vanchiro, 23rd place

Jeff Zowland opened with a raise from under the gun, and Brian Ali, sitting to Zowland's left, called the raise. It folded back around to Jeffrey Vanchiro in the big blind who reraised all in for his last 135,000. Zowland called the reraise, and when Ali did, too, Vanchiro stood up, his expression showing he didn't like his chances of surviving.

Both Zowland and Ali checked the {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop. When the turn brought the {4-Spades}, Zowland checked again, but Ali reached for chips, adding to Vanchiro's pessimism. Ali bet 80,000, and when Zowland folded Vanchiro surprisingly tossed his cards in the muck before the river could come.

Ali tabled his hand -- {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a set of sevens. The river came the {9-Hearts}, and while Vanchiro had already left an attempt was made to retrieve his cards, as the floor insisted they needed to be shown. It appeared for a moment that he might've tossed a pair of aces, but the players left behind soon decided he could have only had one ace, as he would have been drawing live otherwise.

Zanchiro is out in 23rd place, good for $5,235. Now Ali looks to be our chip leader, the only one in the room at the moment with more than 900,000.

Dylan Drazen - Eliminated in 22nd Place

Action folded to Dylan Drazen in the cutoff who open-shoved for 107,000. Patrick Houchins tank-folded on the button and Joe Caffrey re-shoved from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and the hands were tabled.

Showdown
Drazen: {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Caffrey: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Caffrey had a commanding lead and held as the board ran {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Drazen was out in 22nd and will have to settle with $5,235.

Lee Leaves

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Peter Lee - Eliminated in 21st Place
Peter Lee - Eliminated in 21st Place

Peter Lee was our chip leader at one point today, but after losing consecutive pots he is now eliminated.

In the first hand there was a raise to 22,000 and Lee three-bet to 67,000 on the button. Angelo Modica instantly moved all in from the big blind and the action folded back to Lee who called.

Showdown
Lee: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Modica: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Modica had Lee crushed and held when the board ran {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

A few hands later Lee open-shoved 50,000 with {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and was called by Ellis Frazier with {k-Spades}{4-Spades}. The {j-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop propelled Lee into the lead, but the {k-Diamonds} on the turn pushed Frazier back out in front. The river was the {2-Spades} and Lee was out in 21st place, earning $6,134.

Houchins Has a Pair

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Mike Kosowski opened with a raise from middle position, and it folded back around to Patrick Houchins who called from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Houchins checked, and Kosowski tossed out six purple (10,000) chips for a bet of 60,000. Houchins then check-raised to 160,000, and after a minute or so of consideration, Kosowski stepped aside.

Houchins flipped over his cards as he dragged the pot -- {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Houchins is up to 890,000 now, while Kosowski has 795,000 as we draw close to the dinner break.

Pratyusm Puddiga - Eliminated in 20th Place

We missed the hand, but according to Albert Winchester he opened to 20,000 and Pratyusm Puddiga three-bet jammed for around 150,000. Winchester called with {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and was ahead of Puddiga's {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Puddiga did not improve and was eliminated in 20th place ($6,134).

Tim Begley opened from early position and Patrick Houchins flatted in the small blind. Joe Caffrey then three-bet to over 60,000, Begley released and Houchins immediately called.

The flop fell {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and without a beat Houchins moved all in for nearly twice the pot. Caffrey paused momentarily and then made the call.

Showdown
Houchins: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Caffrey: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Caffrey held when the turn and river came {2-Hearts}, {k-Clubs} respectively, doubling to 740,000 chips.
