Vance and Jewell Sent Packing

Tim Vance was on his way out the door and was kind enough to inform us of his beat beat. As Vance explained it, he held queens and put in a standard raise. A player then moved all in for 7,200 with {A-}{2-} and another player called with {A-}{J-}. Vance shipped all in over the top, and the player with the ace-jack must have felt pot committed as he made the call.

Vance managed to survive the flop, but an ace on the turn put an end to his WSOP-Circuit Hammond Main Event. Likewise, last year's winner of this event, Kurt Jewell, will not be repeating as he was also eliminated from the competition.
