Massey's aces were in the lead but turn sunk his ship when it fell . He bricked on the river when it fell .
We're not sure of the details, but we rolled up to a table with a massive pot in the middle. From what we could tell, two players were all in on a board of and covered by Brandon Shuler. The latter held for a rivered straight, which was good against his opponents' and .
We're not sure exactly how much was in the pot, but it did bring Schuler up to 225,000 and made him the tournament chip leader.
As tables break and players are relocated, we occasionally lose track of players. As such, we went out looking for a few MIA folks and must inform you that Circuit regular Shiva Dudani has been eliminated from the tournament.
On the other hand, we did manage to track down Jake Toole, who is sitting with 35,000.
We just saw Micah Raskin come up to his friend, Dwyte Pilgrim, and relate the bad news . . . he has busted from Day 1a of the Hammond Main Event. We're guessing he'll probably try his luck again tomorrow.
With about 25,000 in the pot and a board reading , Steve Verrett and his opponent in the hijack checked, as they did on the river. "Queens," Verrett announced as he tabled . The hijack took a second look at his cards and flicked them to the muck. Verrett was nursing a short stack not too long ago but has managed a nice comeback. He is currently sitting with around 80,000.
A lot of the players in the room have been asking when action will come to a halt for the night. We can tell you that the plan is to play through Level 15, which will put us right around 1 AM CST.
