Dorothy Clicks Her Heels

Dorothy Vonsachsen - out
Dorothy Vonsachsen - out

A gentleman under the gun limped into the pot, and the rest of the table folded around to the blinds. In the small, Dorothy Vonsachsen looked down at {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} and shoved all in for 54,500 total. Next door to her, though, the big blind woke up with {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}, and he made the quick call. The UTG player tanked for ages, but he eventually surrendered, and the cards were shown down. Vonsachsen needed to catch up in a big way, and she asked the dealer for her one time.

But it was no use. The board ran out {8-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {7-Hearts}, and that's the end of the (yellow brick) road for Vonsachsen. She's been eliminated a few spots away from the money, and it's now a bunch of men left competing for this title.

Dinner Bell

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Well, we came within a table of making the money before the dinner break. From our Day 2 starting field of 171, just about 40 of them have survived until now.

The ones who have are being rewarded with a one-hour dinner break until 7:30 PM local time. We'll see you then.

Black Out

We just saw Dan Black getting some condolences on the rail, and the seat where he was sitting a moment ago is now vacant of chips.

We missed the hand that did him in, but it's safe to say the last member of the 2010 final table has been eliminated.

Fritzer Finds a Double Up

It was blind vs. blind violence when Rip Fritzer moved all in from the small blind with no action in front of him. Casey McCarrel looked down to find pocket fives and he called.

Fritzer tabled {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} and hit the flop when the board ran {9-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}. His rivered two pair brought him to within shouting distance of the 100,000 mark.

Rhamey Finds the Chink in Castoire's Armor

Patrick Rhamey opened for 12,000 and Robert Castoire called on the button. The blinds released and the flop rolled out {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {2-Spades}.

Rhamey bet 14,00 and Castoire called. The turn came {10-Diamonds} and Rhamey bet 17,000. Castoire took a few moments and raised to 40,000. Rhamey never took his cold stare off Castoire and called.

The turn came {7-Diamonds} and both players checked. Catoire turned over {A-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} and Rhamey bested him holdling {Q-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}.
