Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

An unknown player had to be assisted away from the table after becoming unresponsive. The players at the table said he was acting normal since the tournament started but then he left the table to go to the restroom. After returning he was unresponsive and completely incoherent. Tournament officials had to help the gentleman out of the room and medical staff was summoned.

We'll let you know about his condition when we receive word.

Paul Volpe was on the button and opened with a raise and the player in the big blind called. The flop came {3-Spades} {4-Spades} {10-Spades}. The big blind put out 900 and Volpe raised to 2,500. The other player wanted nothing else to do with the hand and quickly folded.

Tryba Can't Scare Off Opponent

We caught Chris Tryba and another player go a flop of {6-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades}. The opponent bet 400 and Tryba called to see the {4-Spades} turn. Tryba called 725 and the {5-Clubs} landed on the river. The unknown player checked and Tryba took a moment before firing out 2,100.

The unknown player sat for a couple minutes shuffling calling chips in his hand. He finally tossed them in the middle and Tryba tabled {J-Spades} {10-Spades} for a busted flush draw. His opponent revealed {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for flopped trips and took the pot.

The Empty Seats are Filling

Only in poker is an 11 a.m. start time considered early, and as such, only about half the field had taken their seats when the tournament began. With the crack of noon approaching, more and more players are taking their seats. It looks as if we're up to over 300 players at the moment.

Friendly Faces

We've already spotted a few friendly faces in the field today, including Roland Israel, Heather Sue Mercer, Adam Lippert, Garry Gates, Mike Leah, "Karate" Mike Santoro, "Miami" John Cernuto, John O'Brien, Dwyte Pilgrim, Lee Childs, and Tyler Kenney.
