The player under the gun limped in the pot, Paul Harris raised to 425, the player in the 8 seat called and then the player in the 9 seat re-raised to 925 on the button. Then Abraham Araya moved all in from the small blind for a little over 11,000.
The limper folded, Harris folded after a count, as did the rest of the table. Araya flashed the to the table and took the pot without a flop.
We're not sure of the details, but according to Tripp Kirk, who just finished in the money in Event #10 $1,090 NLHE earlier today, he sent Becky Makar to the rail. According to his Twitter:
"Stacked woodys wife for 10k in weird pot. She opens to 700. I call. Button squeeze. She call. I shove. She says call when action isnt on her"
Nelly opened for 600 and got two calls from the blinds. The flop fell and action checked to Nelly. He bet 2,000, the small blind folded and the big blind check-raised to 6,000. Nelly tossed in his remaining chips and was all in.
Nelly:
Big Blind:
"You'll get there," Nelly said.
His opponent didn't when the board finished and the short-stacked rapper has a little more breathing room.
With about 2,000 in the pot and a board reading , the big blind checked to Charles "Woody" Moore in middle position. He promptly bet 650 which was called by a player in late position as well as the big blind. When the turned, action went check-check to the LP player, who fired out 2,000. It proved enough to take down the pot as both the big blind and Moore folded.
Despite that, Moore, who finished as runner up in the WSOP Circuit Council Bluffs Main Event last month, is sitting pretty with 30,000.
Amanda Musumeci, fresh off her fifth-place finish in Event #10 $1,090 NLHE earlier today, is in tonight's field and off to a good start. We recently noticed her sitting with about 40K and she was kind enough to inform us how she acquired them.
According to her, a player in early position had limped and then a middle-position player three-bet to 650. Musumeci flatted from the small blind with , the limper called, and it was three-way action to the (X) flop.
It went check-check to the MP player, who bet 1,100. Musumeci woke up with a check-raise to 3,025, EP folded, MP three-bet 9,000, and Musumeci made the call. When a blank appeared on the turn, Musumeci check and her opponent instantly moved all in. Musumeci snapped-called and was ahead of the MP's . A blank on the river and it was all over.
