Day 1a Wraps Up with Weaver Leading
The World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah's Tunica Main Event Day 1a has wrapped up play after nine levels of play. Approximately 430 entrants put up the $1,600 entrance fee and about 250 players will be moving on to Day 2. Ray Weaver sits atop the counts with 138,500.
Notables moving on to Day 2 include Roland Israel, Jacob Bazely, Abraham Araya, Jerry Monroe, Dave Clark, Kyle Cartwright, "Cowboy John Lang, Matthew Chang, Russell Ivy, "Captain" Tom Franklin and Preston Derden.
But not all notables had a great flight; Aaron Massey, Mark "Pegasus" Smith, Shaun Johnston, Sam Barnhart, Traci Brown, Eric Crain and Earl Barron all were eliminated during play.
We've got just about a half hour before the Day 1b flight kicks off and we'll be looking for some our Day 1a bustouts to take to the felt again. Follow all the WSOPC action live on Pokernews.com when Day 1b starts at 7 p.m. CST.
