Sick River Gives O'Dell A Double
In poker, there are action river cards, and then there are "Wow I can't believe that card came" river cards. We just saw the latter version of that river card in a pot that gave local pro Frankie O'Dell a much needed double up. We caught the action on a flop of 
with O'Dell heads up with another player. With about 12,000 in the pot, O'Dell check call his opponents bet of 3,600. Both players checked the 
on the turn, and the river brought the 
. This is where the action started.
O'Dell led out with a tiny bet of 3,000. His opponent quickly pulled the 3,000, then added raising chips and upped it to 16,000. O'Dell quickly shoved the rest of his chips in, which added up to just over the raise. His opponent called and flipped over 
for a rivered set. However, O'Dell flipped up 
for a rivered straight! O'Dell collected the chips, and boosted his stack to 56,000.
