Ladies For Bazeley

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

The board read {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Jacob Bazeley checked to his lone opponent. With over 10,000 already in the pot, his opponent shot out a bet of 6,000 and action was back on Bazeley.

Bazeley thought for about fifteen seconds before throwing out a call. Bazeley showed two ladies - {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} - to be exact. His opponent mucked his hand and Bazeley dragged in the pot. He's now sporting a stack of about 34,500.

Clinkscales Climbing

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player in middle position popped it up to 800 and Rex Clinkscales called from the cutoff. The rest of the table threw their hands away and the flop brought {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Clinkscales' opponent continued with a bet of 1,525 and Clinkscales stuck around.

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and the original raiser slowed down by tapping the table. Clinkscales took this opportunity to drop 1,825 into the center and his opponent quickly got rid of his cards. Clinkscales is now sitting on about 26,000.

Defending Champ Jewell Busts

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

We got to the table to see a short-stacked Kurt Jewell all in for his tournament life against an opponent.

Jewell: {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The flop came {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Jewell gave himself a bunch more outs with his open-ended straight draw. The turn was the {J-Spades} and no help to Jewell and he needed to catch on fifth street to stay alive in the tournament. Alas, the river brought the {7-Clubs} and he was sent to the rail.

Jewell will most certainly return to the felt tomorrow to try once again to defend his title.

Massey Cracks Aces to Double

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

We missed the details of this hand but Aaron Massey was kind enough to recount them to us.

He opened to 675 from under the gun and and another player made it 1,400 to go. Another player cold called and it came back around to Massey who called as well.

The flop was {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-} and Massey checked. His opponent pushed out a c-bet of 1,200 and the third player folded. Massey shipped all in and his opponent threw his hands up the air and announced a call.

Massey: {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-}{A-}

Massey was ahead with his two pair and stayed that way through the {3-} turn and the {2-} river. He's now sitting on about 35,000 in chips.
